Volunteer Opportunities

We are delighted you are interested in learning more about Student Ministries, a vital work which ensures that our Junior High and High School students know and grow in the relationship with Jesus in an engaging environment. Why we serve in the Student Ministry?
Student Ministries exists to REACH students for Christ, CONNECT them with other Christians, help them GROW in their faith and challenge their growing to DISCOVER their ministry and GLORIFY God with their lives.

Getting Started
Below you will find out the different areas that you can serve in Student Ministries. To get started, call the church office at (623) 536-2106 or check out the Volunteer Page at palmvalley.org.

Weekend Worship Service Mentor
As a Weekend Worship Service Mentor, you will have the opportunity to connect with regularly attending students and welcome new or visiting students. Weekend Mentors may also participate in games, activities and illustrations that take place during the service.

Small Group Mentor
As a Small Group Mentor, you will be able to plan and engage Junior High or High School students in ice-breaker questions and activities that will prepare them for the night’s discussion. Small Group Mentors also have the opportunity to facilitate discussion about relevant topics that expose teenagers to the truths of God’s Word and help them apply those truths to their every day lives.
