The High School GO Mission Trip is rapidly approaching. For this reason we want to ensure that every Freshman, Sophomore, Junior and Senior in our ministry has a chance to participate in this life-impacting trip.
The GO Mission Program is a next-level discipleship program that challenges students to grow in their relationship with Christ. Students will:
memorize bible verses weekly
be accountable for reading and journaling God’s Word daily
learn how to work together in teams
prepare to lead Vacation Bible Schools for kids of all age
share the good news of Jesus Christ with kids through songs, skits, crafts, games, and Bible lessons during the trip itself
The trip is FREE for all students that complete the 12-week equipping course. Equipping sessions will take place from 6:15 pm – 7:45 pm every Saturday night beginning on March 20th.
In advance of the above, on March 6, 2010 from 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm, we have planned a special Meeting for Parents to be held in the Student Ministries room. If your son or daughter is interested in being a part of the Go Missions Trip, this meeting is designed to communicate to you what are the expectations for the students, to convey additional information, and to answer any questions you may have.
Jesus tells us in Matthew 28:19 to “GO and make disciples”, so we will do exactly that! Our going will take us this year to some rural cities in Nevada to share the good news of Jesus Christ, and to make disciples of kids of all ages there. As a result, we hope students will prayerfully consider the impact this program will have; not only on the lives of the kids in Nevada, but their own lives as well.
If you have any questions or concerns, please email me at dsanders@palmvalley.org or call me at (623) 536-2106. In the meantime, I’m looking forward to what God is going to do through the lives of our high school students this summer!
In Christ,
Darius

I have a question on the age. Is open to current 8th grade students?? Or to currently high school students??
It’s only open to high school freshmen-high school seniors.
The High School GO Mission Program is only open to current HS students (9th – 12th grade). There is a separate program designed specifically for Middle School (6th – 8th grade) students.
Unfortunately, their trip was in January. However, we would love for you to be a part of the HS Mission Program next year when you are a Freshman.
