High School Camp Day 3

Hey there, it’s Matt again and man, what a day! We had a blast in the outdoors today. You can check out what it all looked like by going to the Gallery page and checking out all of the photos, but we will throw a few in here as well.

It all started with breakfast at a nearby lake that is gorgeous. I got to share my story and the breakfast was delicious. There are some really special people in Becky, Tony, Katleen and Terry that have come here to help and they are awesome. Breakfast burritos have never been better!

We came back to the lodge and made lunches for the hike and then it was off for the hike! It is always a blast when the Rohlinger boys take us out and lead the hike. The thing with this hike too, is that is down hill first and up hill on the way back. So when we got to the valley, we studied our Bibles and wrote our SOAP’s for the day. When we were done with that and lunch, worship leader Derrick Logan shared his story and it was amazing. D-Lo is awesome!

On our way out, the students got to dip in the stream and cool off from the hike. We then headed up the hill and took a group photo before it was all over. Plus, there was a special surprise for service this weekend. You will want to be there to see what it is on Saturday or Sunday.

So after break and dinner, it was off to Family Meeting. Of course Greg’s Message was off the hook, D-Lo rocked the roof off the joint and the stories of Pastor Art Day and his daughter Stacy were inspiring, but the highlight of the night was Pastor Surfing. Kind of like Crowd Surfing, only with Pastors. Here are a couple of pictures of Greg, Art, Derrick and Darius getting moved around a bit:

Alright, the pictures do not even capture half of how funny this was, but you can tell by Darius’ face that it was awesome! The whole day was actually and don’t forget that all of the pictures are now on the Gallery. Also, more video diaries are coming. Thanks for stopping by and we will have more tomorrow.

  1. Julie Thompson says:

Hey is pastor surfing the surprise for this weekend! Ha Ha !

  2. Yes Julie, Pass the Pastor, as it was called, was the surprise of the weekend. Hopefully you enjoyed the video. But, it was nothing like being there. It was a riot. Thanks for all the great comments.
